Soul'ed Out

It was a tiring day at work and out of the blue,

my Very-busy-with-his-New-Business-Best-Friend called me up for dinner.

At first he wanted to go to our usual Subang hang out,

but I was like,

let's get a life & travel a bit.

Yeah.. we Subang people tend to stay, lepak and eat in Subang.

It's a very difficult habit to break.

But, tonight, off we went to Hartamas!

This place is one of my favorite places to eat.

*thumbs up*

However, if you go during weekends, especially at night, you should know better.. The parking @ Hartamas is ridiculous, but great news, for RM5 you get to Jockey your car here @ Souled Out!

So there's smoking & non smoking. Even for the air-conditioned area, there's smoking place as well. The place's cozy, and if you're out on a date, I suggest you dine upstairs. Don't sit downstairs, as it is open air, and very, very noisy.

This is Ice Blended Coffee with Haagen Daz Ice Cream.

This is, heaven. If you know me well enough, I'm a sucker for Ice Blended/ Ice creams/ Mocha and everything nice.

But Haagen Daz? Is definately my MUST-HAVES!!!

However, note to self:- This coffee could have tasted better.

They mixed the ice together with the ice cream, so it kinda spoils the taste of the ice cream. I'd rather they just blend and milkshake the Ice-cream, without including the ice.

This is what my friend had.

I didn't try it, but it looked so lovely.

"Dragon Fly Juice"

Yes, made from Dragon Fruit.

And we also ordered "Hot Chocolate" because my best friend wanted to be "Cultured" THeee..

Vichuda Thai Restaurant

When Enddee got back from Japan, he suddenly had this huge appetite and started to crave for many many things.

I think he might be pregnant.
*grins*

Anyway, tonight he craved for "Steamed Fish" but it was already 10pm, so it was quite difficult to actually find a place that opens til late that serves "Steam Fish". So round and round we went until I remembered.. "heyyyyy.. Vichuda!"

So to Vichuda we went.

Okay... Let's have a look at the menu :)

Hmm.. Wide selection of food.
Interesting, it's already 10.30pm, and still, everything in the menu was still available!

Well, it was just the 2 of us, but then again,
I think Enddee's pregnant, so we ordered for 3. Hahahaha

For vege, we ordered
Baby Kailan Masak Biasa
At first we thought of ordering Kailan Ikan Masin, but when the Menu wrote Masak Biasa, I thought it was cool, because Biasa was usually Ikan Masin, so I wondered how Biasa would taste if not cooked Ikan Masin style? Er, if you know what I mean lah. Hahaha. Anyway, it was delicious. Cubalah.

This is a MUST-HAVE for Enddee.
I don't know what is it with him and telor goreng.
Well, no comments on the taste, as telor goreng usually taste kinda the same.
(Unless the ones that I cooked lah, because mom taught me a trick on how to make it extra sedap. Hahaha. Not like I cook that often, but I thought I'd highlight it here...heeeee)

My overall dining experience?
To be honest, the food was not that great, but I just love the chicken pie.
May I warn you, the service there is terrible!
They are very, very slow.
Eventho there's hardly a crowd there
(yeah, most people choose to be at the hip and happening Laundry Bar opposite this cafe),
it will still take them roughly 20 mins to bring your food over!

Well, I'd recommend this to those for first dates, tho..
You know, you can spend more time with your ahem, and like, bitch about the service,
you know.. keep the conversation flowing ;)

So I was in One Utama, doing some last minute shopping before leaving for US of A.

Initially it was supposed to be a quick stop there, but then, I ended up being there from 11am until 8pm! Imagine that!

Well, I was with the baby, anyways, so no complains there. And he made me ride all these kiddy ride that costed me like RM5 per ride. LOL. And of course, I had to rent that buggy ride because he wants to ride the school bus trolley, instead of walking. Hmmmm..

Anyway, we decided to have lunch at deLicious.

I've always been a real fan of this place.
Everything about it is so delicious.

It is, afterall, deLicious :)

Chicken Caesar Salad
Take your pick, either Chicken or Salmon.
You can also ask for just Caesar Salad.
I usually pick the Chicken, and ask for extra Caesar dressing because

I think the dressing is a killer one.
Yummy. The salad's very fresh and crunchy.
I don't really dig the chicken, tho

Vietnamese Chicken Salad
I especially loved the cucumber and the crunchie-ness of it all, but I'm NOT really a peanut fan, therefore I didn't enjoy the peanut dressing.
I find peanut sauce/peanut butter an annoying taste, so forgive me, you peanut lovers out there :D

French Union Soup

Definately MY FAV bcoz I ordered 2 bowls of it. Really, tasty, and served hot.

It is topped with layers of cheese, of which I really, really like, because it was so rich and refreshing.

Sirloin Steak Sandwich
I didn't like the side salad, as it has a weird taste to it.

The sandwich was delicious, good as snack as well, but I rather order the Burger if I was hungry.

The fries was good, tho.

Smoked Salmon Angelhair

Yummmmmmy!

I love Angelhair, anytime, as compared to Spagetti, because I love how delicate it tasted and how easy it is to swallow it.

The salmon was fresh, and the cabonara sauce was NOT TOO creamy (but still, creamy:). But too much of it wud still make you feel bloated :D

Strawberry Soda
My favorite drink here.
A perfect combo when you're having a creammmy pasta.
Don't go cari pasal order Iced Chocolate, you'd prolly throw up after that :D

But on normal outings, PLEASE DO ORDER THE Death By ICed Chocolate is it is one of the seven wonders of the Drinks Universe!

Kluang Station @ Ikano

The best Kopi Ice I ever minom my whole life! Goshhh!!!

Chicken Chop. Delicious!! I love the sauce!

Nasi Lemak - a bit dry tho. I don't really like it.

Too sweet. But what fascinated me was the lychee had turned purple. Heh. (And also they kedekut Lychee, gave me like 2, 3 of it ONLY)

For dinner, I ordered "Spagetti Seafood Cabonara"

Well, the Cabonara sauce tasted more like mushroom soup, however they were generous with the seafood offering. The portion was HUGE, and for 'diet' girls out there, you better share when you order. I didnt really enjoy it, as I'm a cheese lover, and it didnt taste that cheesy to me.

Liyana ordered:-"Spagetti Seafood Marinara"

Her food was good. I enjoyed eating hers more than mine.

This is my bestest best friend. As you can see in the picture sedang eat my cabonara, he is (tanpa serba salah), finishing up my food. Hehehe. PS> He ordered "Nasi Goreng Soft Shell Crab" and it looked really good, and I dont recall him asking me if I'd like to have some? Hahaha

And now... the reason why I came here... "Kari Kepala Ikan"

Mannnn.. It was delicious! Sedap gila kay!!!!! My god.. The lady fingers was fresh, the tauhu was cooked just right, and the curry.. I tell you.. heaven! The fish was fresh too.. and overall experience, I loved it. Well, even when I'm looking at the photo, I can still taste it...
Overall I would rate 8 out of 10.

"Kobis Goreng"

Usually, when you go to Curry House, the vege would be so lembik bcoz they cook it since morning. But this one, it's very fresh and crunchy, and they ONLY cook it when you order. So it's ala carte basis, instead of just cupped from a big bowl. Kudos!
Overall I would give 7 out of 10.

After that, we went for Supper at Station 1.
I passed by that restaurant for thousands time, but never bothered to try it.
But since now I have a new resolution cum hobby (which is to really Food & Coffee hunt, and capture every taste), we decided to makan there.

Ambiance : Hip

The Menu

The place's very hip.
They even have karoake on the 1st Floor.
It's open air, so you can smoke anywhere you like.
They offer a "comprehensive yet unique" range of food, from Western to Chinese to Local to even Rusian food!

I already ate at the Tahlil, so I ordered:= "

" Mocha Chips Ice Blended"

Yummy!
It tasted like Ice Blended Mocha (finally), but of course, still not up to my expectation.
It was good, but not great.
However, I enjoyed the "Love Letters", it was crispy and tasty enough eventhough dah kena sumbat dalam Iced Blended tu :)
Overall I would rate it 4 out of 10.

Also, ordered:- "Strawberry Lemonade Blend"

This one is a thumbs up! It kinda tasted like Strawberry Margherita. Virgin :)

Also, additional drink:-
" Peach Tea"

He ordered food:= " Korean Chicken Noodle"

And this is how we eat it...

I'm not so much of a noodle fan.
However, I kena paksa to try it, and it actually tasted good.
But again, I'm not really noodle fan.
It tasted like Maggi Ayam.
Anyway, for Noodle lovers, I guess it must have tasted really good, because he ordered TWO for him!
Well, it was either it was that good, or I ate too much of his food.
Overall I would rate it 4 out of 10.

I guess we had too much Mocha
(he ordered the same drink, boring.... takleh curi-curi minom),
so we ordered Air Kosong satu.

Surprisingly, the Air Kosong satu was good.
They put Lemon it in, and it was quite refreshing.
Or maybe, we had too much Mocha.

Just so you know, I didn't order any food.
So this was what I did, while waiting for a certain someone to habiskan his food.

" Maggi Murtabak!!! "

Even the name for the dish dah ajaib.
I don't know where he gets the idea on what to put in his cooking, but he just does.
It was actually from Maggi Kari, mixed together with Eggs, and lots of other ingredients I don't really know because I don't cook.
On top of that, there's Mayonise!!
And guess what, it was SEDAP!!!!
(I'm a bit bias when it comes to Azam's cooking, I'm such a nice Kakak)

I, obviously ate what he cooked,
eventhough I already eat, and should really, really watch my weight.
Makan at 1am.
But I love him, so I makan.
Overall I would rate 10 out of 10, because air dicincang takkan putus. Hahaha

So tonight, we went to Noodle Station.
(Kudos to Brick (bukan nama sebenar) for suggesting me this place)

Name: Noodle Station
Place : SS15, Subang Jaya
Time : Open Daily, 9am to 11pm
Ambiance : Romantic but Relaxing
Status : Halal

The place's cool. There's 2 floors.
Ground floor is the 'Romantic' area, they have sofas.
(Sorry didn't take any pictures).
However take note that Ground Floor is Non-Smoking.
The 1st Floor is where you can smoke, this is where the Relaxing area is, (it's a bit romantic up there, especially when you're seated at the balcony:)

Anyway, I had:=

"Spicy Springly Thai Noodle"

I know it does NOT look appetizing at all, and people say don't judge a book by it's cover. But in this case, you gotta judge a book by its cover coz it tasted crap.
Maggi Goreng @ Mamak would have tasted better.
It was very dry, flat and NOT SPICY at all
So overall I would rate it 2 out of 10.

I tried to add condiments to make it taste better,
but no luck there.

Therefore, I ate his food instead.
Muka tak bersalah curi makanan orang
Hehe :)

He had:- "Tom Yam Springly Noodle"

The Tom Yam was good, and the noodle was soft.
Cooked just right, I must say.
It had mushroom, crabstick, prawns and vegetables.
It was not THAT spicy, but it had that Thai kick in it.
Overall I would rate it 6 out of 10.

Knowing me, main meal was never enough, so I also ordered some side dish.

We had:-
"Honey BBQ Chicken Wings."

I, am a chicken wing lover, and sorry to say, this did not meet my expectation
I didn't taste neither the Honey nor the BBQ at all.
It was just, erm, chicken wings.
Again, it was flat and dissapointing
Overall I would rate it 2 out of 10.

As for drinks, since I'm a Coffee/Mocha lover, I ordered:- "Ice Blended Mocha."

Well, I tasted better mocha before, and of COURSE, it's no Java Chips from Starbucks material.
It was not sweet & mocha enough, and even after few attempts of stirring and making sure the whip cream actually blended together with the mocha, it still was NOT sweet and mocha enough.
The ice was not carefully blended, you can still taste chunks of ice when you drink it.
Overall, I would rate it 3 out of 10.

Yes, of course, I drank his drink, instead. (Thank you:)

He ordered:-
"Earl Grey Iced Tea."

Yes, it looks like beer.
The tea was actually quite good.
It was at the right temperature, and they used the right amout of ice, so that as you drink it, you can still taste the Earl Grey tea and the coldness of the ice.
It was kind of refreshing.
Overall, I would rate it 6 out of 10.

So there goes, my experience just now at Noodle Station.
I must admit, even I ordered crappy food, his was actually was quite good
And I'd definately come back to the restaurant to try different dishes.
It is, afterall, located just behind my house.

(Probably the selection of food that night was unfortunate)

Tonight we berjaya got out from Subang Jaya!

We decided it was time for Thai Food, so we went to Serai in Shah Alam.
Well, the REAL reason of us going there, was because of the owner ;)

This is the owner. Her name is Qistina and she is yummy. Hehehe ;)

So cute.. Name of restaurant, Serai. Hehehe

Very elegant. I like it becoz it's so cozy and it feels like home.

Do take note that the place is extra, extra cold.
So you can either:-
a) Bring a jacket
b) Bring a person to warm you ;)
c) Makan Tom Yam yang panas

We, chose Option 3.

Tom Yam Seafood

Yummmyyy! The Tom Yam was tasty!
Very generous on the seafood offering, they have Sotong, Fish Fillet & Prawns.
It's not that pedas, so if you're a pedas eater, you have to let the waiter know :)

Malam ni makan besar, since it's a Saturday, and it was a lonnggg day :D
This is Asparagus.

Asparagus Masak Merah
My favorite vegetable indeed. I really enjoyed eating it as it was so crunchy and fresh. The sambal was not pedas, it was 'just' nice, which suited the taste of the asparagus.

The offering of the chicken was quite sikit, probably because initially we were supposed to come just the two of us, but ended up four of us! :) Anyway,

I gotta admit, this was my favorite dish of the night! DELICIOUS! I loved the prawns! No, no, I especially loved the crumbs (which was made out of eggs... that had to be cooked for like 40 minutes or so - as I interviewed Qistina..)

Anyway, overall, I thought it was a lovely experience. The shop was nicely decorated and the food was tasty.

Today we got back from work at 11 pm.
Gosh.It was a rainy and, tiring day.
Since we belum makan dinner, we went to Asia Cafe.
(or some people like to call it "AC" or pronounce it "A-sher" or A-SI-YA-KA-FE")

Status : Unknown (However, they only serve Seafood)

Sila duduk di sini. Low profile sikit. :)

But, If you wanna join the 'cool' crowd, you go la in front of the big screen at the platform, opposite the Bird Cage :)
My favorite spot is the place in front of the Cyber Cafe, beside the bar, also got TV and platform, however, it's peaceful there.
You can actually hear the person in front of you talking.
(Tapi harini kan hujan:)

I ordered Vanilla Coke - safe selection.
Taste good, always :)

He ordered:-
" Teh O' Ais "

The Teh O' Ais was too sweet.
Tak sedap.

For dinner, I ordered:-
" Spicy Bamboo Lala with Extra Kacang Botol."

Bamboo Lala usually rasa cam tak fresh sikit, and this one, as usual, tasted tak fresh lah.
But I think that's how it should taste kot?
Haha. Anyway, I way prefer the Kacang Botol, which was fresh.
The sauce was good, spicy but not too spicy.
But if you makan banyak-banyak, ada jugak la keluar air mata coz pedas :P
Overall I would rate 4 out of 10.

He ordered:-

" Spicy "Unknown Species" Fish."

I really don't know what fish it was, because we only pointed out to the Abang, "Ha.. Nak ini ikan."
And that Abang so nice, he said, "Ok okay, You buy 1, free 1" LOL.
The fish was not that spicy.
And, also, it was too sweet.
Overall I would rate 4 out of 10.

Eventho the food was rated ONLY 4 out of 10.....

(They only have NOT SPICY, SPICY and EXTRA SPICY. Only 2 type of Vege, Kacang Botol & Petai. And limited Seafood)

(Sallute! Abang Fishy tu so friendly, and all 3 Bangladeshis that served us was extra, extra friendly too... Hehehehe)

Tonight, for the first time in my life, a guy cooked me dinner. Ha!

Enddee Chan, thank you, I love you :)
*But I kinda arrived late, due to work (surprise, surprise), so it was more like supper :P
* The cutest part was, he went for grocery shopping on his own this evening.

So tonight, I had:-
1) Fried Rice
(That he had to wait for hours for the nasi to be ready.. Hehehe)

2) Celery + Chicken + Prawn with Oyster Sauce
(I'm an Oyster sauce freak & we both love Celery)

3) Ikan Masak Asam Pedas with Lady Fingers, Eggs & Tomato
(The fish was sponsored by his Mom, because the ones that he bought, his mom said was too 'small'. LOL:) (So adorable)

Not to forget, drinks:-

1) Vanilla Coke coz it's my favorite

2) Normal Coke coz it's his favorite

And yeah, of course,
The best part of the meal,
My dessert.

The Coffee to Die For

In some ways it was a typical breakfast.
The waitress was pleasant.
The eggs were average.
The coffee was good.
And, the restaurant was full of busy people.

I was having the same breakfast, at the same place, with the same people, doing the same thing.
But today, while everything was in order - quite typical and as normal as it can be,
Nothing felt the same.
I was, rejuvenated.

This morning, I finally, decided, I'm good and ready for a change.
That's when I experienced a paradigm shift.
Timely, it was.

While everything remains equal,I began to see things from a different perspective.
I began to focus on different aspects of the phenomena in my life.
I began to make new meanings from my experiences.
The shift made me re-analyze my old and current experiences, and my brain began to raise new questions.
New links to the experiences was created.
And finally, a different prediction was generated.
It felt like magic.

So this was how it all started.

My paradigm shift.
My journey.
